Citta, Loka or Natha: which boat for your party
Updated 23 October 2026
Kanha Citta vs Kanha Loka vs Kanha Natha is mostly a question of party size. Citta and Loka take up to 22 guests on the shared trip and up to 20 on a private charter; Natha takes 12. With 12 guests on a 3D2N, the cheapest whole boat is Natha, from IDR 60,720,000 (≈ USD 3,725).
Choose your Kanha: three moods before any number
Begin with how you want the three days to feel. The numbers can wait; they are in the grid further down. Each portrait closes on the boat's limit, since a good fit means knowing where a boat stops.
- Citta is the party boat. 8 cabins, a bar area, a sun deck and Gayatri, the master room with the balcony. She hosts a gathering of up to 20 on a private charter, and on the shared trip she turns a boatful of strangers into one lively group. Limit: hers are the highest fares.
- Loka is the family boat. 7 cabins, a matching bar area and sun deck, and a Family Ocean View for 4 with its own balcony and bathroom. Three generations and reunions where everyone wants a proper bed suit her well. Limit: a balcony on the Deluxe Ocean View is confirmed in writing before you pay.
- Natha is the quiet boat. 4 cabins, up to 12 guests, 5 crew, a dining area and a sun deck. She suits friends who want a boat of their own, or two people after a quiet room. Limit: no bar area, and nothing for 13 or more.
Kanha Citta vs Kanha Loka vs Kanha Natha in one grid
The grid puts all three boats on the same rows: cabins, guests, crew, bathrooms, deck spaces and fares. Leave the fare rows until last. A shared seat is priced per person and a whole boat for everyone, so the two only line up once you divide by your head count. The tables on the charter and cabins pages do that sum for every head count from 1 to the boat's limit. On every boat, the shared open trip is the same 3D2N, guide and documentation included.

A party of 13 to 20: Citta or Loka
For 13 guests or more it is Citta or Loka; nothing else fits. Their price cards run in bands to 10 guests and then add a set amount for each guest up to 20; each has a bar area and a sun deck. For a 3D2N with 16 guests, the boat costs IDR 129,360,000 (≈ USD 7,936) on Citta and IDR 120,480,000 (≈ USD 7,391) on Loka.
Citta comes in IDR 8,280,000 above Loka for the boat at 1 to 4 guests and at 5 to 8 guests, and IDR 8,880,000 above at 9 to 10 guests. What the difference buys on Citta is Gayatri and its private balcony; on Loka, the Family Ocean View for 4. If neither room matters to your group, Loka gives the lower total. Past 20 guests, no single boat is sold, and two boats mean two quotes. The charter page gives the total and the per-person figure for every head count.
A party of 12 or fewer: why Natha belongs on the list
For 12 guests or fewer, the small sister is also the cheaper whole boat. At 12 guests Natha works out at IDR 5,060,000 (≈ USD 310) each, against IDR 8,680,000 (≈ USD 533) on Loka. With 1 to 4 guests she costs IDR 36,960,000 less than Loka for the boat, and with 5 to 8 guests IDR 31,920,000 less.
What you give up is clear enough. No bar area, 5 crew, and 4 cabins: two Private Ocean Views and two Sharing Cabins of 4 single bunks. We book her for up to 12 guests; for 13 or more, choose Citta or Loka. For a quiet party of 12 or fewer, though, a saving that size settles the question. Natha photographs come by WhatsApp whenever you ask.
Cabins, bathrooms and balconies compared
Cabins with a private bathroom: 7 on Citta, 6 on Loka, 2 on Natha. The Sharing Cabins differ as well. On Citta it sleeps 8 with 1 bathroom inside; on Loka it sleeps 8 with 2 bathrooms outside; Natha has 2 Sharing Cabins of 4 single bunks, with 1 shared bathroom outside.
| Boat | Private bathrooms | Balcony cabins | Sharing Cabin bed |
|---|---|---|---|
| Kanha Citta | 7 | Gayatri | IDR 4,800,000 (≈ USD 294) |
| Kanha Loka | 6 | Master, Family | IDR 4,500,000 (≈ USD 276) |
| Kanha Natha | 2 | One Private Ocean View | IDR 4,500,000 (≈ USD 276) |
Both of Natha's private cabins are Ocean Views, one with a balcony and one that opens onto the sun deck. All cabins on all three boats have air conditioning. Towels split the same way the bar does: bath and pool towels on Citta and Loka, a bath towel on Natha.
The Kanha edit: our pick by kind of party
A reunion of 20: Kanha Loka, for the lower total and the bar area. A lively group of 18 who want the master room with its balcony: Kanha Citta. Six friends who want a boat of their own: Kanha Natha, at IDR 57,840,000 (≈ USD 3,548) for 6 guests over 3D2N.
A family of 4 sharing one cabin: Loka's Family Ocean View, at IDR 6,000,000 (≈ USD 368) per person on the shared Friday trip. A couple who want a quiet room: a Private Ocean View on Natha, at IDR 7,200,000 (≈ USD 442) per person. Cabins are confirmed in writing, so the one we name is the one you get. Send us your head count and month, and you get one boat back, not three, with the reason in a line. If two boats come out level, we tell you, and the Friday decides.
FAQ
Should I choose Kanha Citta or Kanha Loka?
Go for Citta if you want the Gayatri room and a livelier mood, Loka if you want the Family Ocean View and lower fares. Each takes up to 22 guests on the shared trip and has a bar area and a sun deck. For 12 guests the boat costs IDR 113,040,000 (≈ USD 6,935) on Citta and IDR 104,160,000 (≈ USD 6,390) on Loka.
Is Kanha Natha right for a group of 12?
Yes, provided they want quiet and can live without a bar area. Natha holds up to 12, and her top band, 9 to 12 guests, carries one price: IDR 60,720,000 (≈ USD 3,725) for 3D2N. Split 12 ways, that is IDR 5,060,000 (≈ USD 310) each for the boat.
Do the three Kanha boats follow the same route?
Yes. The same 3D2N route applies to all three: Manjarite, Kelor and Kalong on day 1; Padar, Pink Beach, Komodo and Manta Point on day 2; Sebayur and Taka Makassar on day 3. How the weather reshuffles the order is the captain's call on the day.
Do all three Kanha boats have a bar area?
No, only Citta and Loka, which have a restaurant and bar area. Natha has a dining area and a sun deck, without a bar. Karaoke and a Bluetooth sound system appear on all three, so an evening sing-along works whichever boat you choose.
For 10 guests, is a shared seat or a whole boat cheaper?
The cheapest seat is always a Sharing Cabin bed, from IDR 4,500,000 (≈ USD 276). Measured against private cabins, a whole boat for 10 guests costs IDR 6,070,000 (≈ USD 372) each on Natha, IDR 9,600,000 (≈ USD 589) on Loka and IDR 10,490,000 (≈ USD 644) on Citta, before adding the guide and documentation that a private charter leaves out.
