Choose your Kanha for a reunion
Kanha Loka is our first suggestion for a reunion of 12 or more. It has 7 cabins, a restaurant and bar area and a sun deck, and at every party size its private-charter price is the lower of the two larger sisters. Friends who have gone a year without seeing each other need somewhere to sit together that is not a cabin, and Loka has it.
Citta suits the same party if you want the Gayatri room, the one cabin aboard with a private balcony, or an eighth cabin for a mixed group. It costs more: for 9 to 10 guests, the whole boat is IDR 8,880,000 above Loka. Either boat carries up to 20 guests on a private charter.
Natha is the quiet pick for 12 friends or fewer, with 4 cabins, 5 crew and no bar area. We book her for up to 12; for a party of 13 or more we suggest Citta or Loka. Reunions of 21 and up need two boats and two quotes, which we price on request.

Who books and who collects the money
One person holds the booking. Often that is whoever suggested the weekend, and it goes more smoothly when everyone agrees to it before the first message reaches us. The booking carries one name, one total and one payment schedule: a 50% deposit secures the dates, and the balance falls due 30 days before departure.
How you divide the total among yourselves is up to you. Our part is to print a per-person figure on the quote, so nobody ends up doing sums in the group chat. When friends are flying in from three countries, one clear amount each settles things quickly.
Our cancellation scale is on the booking terms page, and it applies to the boat as a whole rather than to each guest. Read it before anyone books a flight. If one friend drops out, the price for the band stays the same and everyone else's share goes up. That is the trade-off of a private charter.
With 15 people aboard, one guarantee counts for more than it does with 2. Say a breakdown keeps the boat in port, or an order from the harbour master or the park. In that case everyone transfers, at no extra cost, to a phinisi of equal or better standard for the same dates. The alternative is a full refund, paid within 14 days.
Beds for 12, 16 or 20: who sleeps where
On a reunion, the sleeping plan sets the mood more than anything else. Couples want a door they can close. Two former flatmates are happy to share. Someone always arrives with a back that needs a proper bed.
On Kanha Loka, a party of 20 uses all 7 cabins, the Sharing Cabin included. That cabin has 4 double beds and 2 bathrooms just outside it, so it suits friends who don't mind bunking together. Each Superior Lower Deck cabin takes 2 guests, with its own bathroom and no extra bed. The Master Ocean View and both Deluxe Ocean View cabins have an extra bed, which is how three friends fit in one room.
Kanha Citta's Sharing Cabin sleeps 8 in 4 single beds and 2 double beds, with 1 bathroom inside, and 7 private cabins sit around it. Single beds make a difference when the eight sharing are not couples.
A party of 12 fills Kanha Natha completely: two couples in the 2 Private Ocean View cabins, and everyone else in 2 Sharing Cabins of 4 single bunks.

Everyone to Labuan Bajo by Thursday
The Kanha boats leave from Labuan Bajo only. None of them sets out from Bali or Lombok, so a reunion scattered across several cities needs one meeting point and one day.
Make it Thursday. The direct Bali to Labuan Bajo flight takes about 1 hour 10 minutes to 1 hour 20 minutes. Timetables shift, so look up your airline's current schedule before booking. Most international visitors connect via Bali or Jakarta, and whoever lands last decides when your first dinner together starts.
On a private charter, the pickup point and time are agreed with you in writing rather than tied to the shared trip's hour. Choose one hotel in town for Thursday night and the party gathers without a long thread of messages. Our where-to-stay page lists the partner hotels.
Shared-trip guests are back ashore around 12:00 on day 3, and charter parties get their return time in writing. In both cases, book Sunday flights home after 14:00. A reunion that ends in a scramble for the airport has wasted the very hour it was meant to protect.
Three days of shared time, day by day
All three boats sail the same 3D2N route. For a reunion, what changes is how the group spends each stop.
Day 1. Manjarite is the first swim, and it shows straight away who snorkels and who stays on deck with a coffee. Kelor is a short, steep walk to a viewpoint over the bay, at whatever pace suits. Kalong is the group's evening together. You watch from the boat as the flying foxes pour out of the mangroves at dusk, and nobody has to be told to put their phone away.
Day 2. Padar comes first and early, up to the ridge viewpoint. Everyone wants that photograph, and the climb is the one real effort of the day. Then Pink Beach for snorkelling and lazing on the sand, then Komodo Island, where a park ranger leads the walk. Manta Point rounds off the day; the current runs strong, and less confident swimmers are advised to wear a life jacket.
Day 3. A last snorkel at Sebayur, then Taka Makassar for the sandbar and one more long conversation. If weather or tide calls for a different order, the captain decides on the day.

What 12, 16 and 20 friends each pay
The boat is priced for the party, and you split it. On Kanha Loka, 12 friends pay IDR 104,160,000 (≈ USD 6,390) in all, or IDR 8,680,000 (≈ USD 533) each. On Kanha Citta, 16 friends pay IDR 8,080,000 (≈ USD 496) each, and 20 pay IDR 7,280,000 (≈ USD 447) each. Twenty on Loka comes to IDR 6,840,000 (≈ USD 420) each.
For a smaller reunion, Kanha Natha works out cheapest per head: 8 friends pay IDR 7,230,000 (≈ USD 444) each and 12 pay IDR 5,060,000 (≈ USD 310) each, since one price covers anywhere from 9 to 12 guests.
That price buys the boat, the crew, meals and snorkelling gear. A private charter does not include the local guide or photo and video documentation; either can be added on request and is quoted separately. Park tickets and ranger fees are paid on top, always.

How many friends fit on a private Kanha charter?
On a private charter, Kanha Citta and Kanha Loka each take up to 20 guests, priced to 10 with an add-on for every guest beyond that. Kanha Natha takes up to 12. A party of 21 or more needs two boats and two separate quotes, which we price on request.
Can friends from different cities all get a cabin?
Yes. Before you pay, we write a bed plan with a name against every cabin, so couples, singles and late arrivals all know where they are sleeping. Friends flying in from different cities just need to reach Labuan Bajo by Thursday, the day before the Friday start.
Who pays the deposit for a reunion booking?
The organiser, in a single transfer, and that person holds the booking. A 50% deposit secures the dates, with the balance due 30 days before departure. Collecting shares from everyone else is your own arrangement, and the per-person figure on the quote keeps it simple.
Can we split the bill between friends?
The booking is one total under one name, so we don't issue separate invoices for each friend. What we do is print the per-person figure on the quote, for example IDR 8,680,000 (≈ USD 533) each for 12 friends on Kanha Loka, so dividing it takes one message.
Can friends bring children to a reunion?
Yes. Children aged 0 to 2 travel free; from 3, they pay the full fare. Give us their ages when you ask for a quote. For a reunion with young children, Kanha Loka works best: its Family Ocean View sleeps 4, with its own balcony and bathroom.
