Komodo National Park fees and tickets

Updated 23 October 2026

The Komodo National Park entrance fee for foreign visitors is IDR 250,000 per person per day, and for Indonesian citizens IDR 50,000 on weekdays or IDR 75,000 at weekends, under PP 36/2024. It is never part of a Kanha fare, and the ticket covers snorkelling.

The Komodo National Park entrance fee, dated

Park tariffs come from Government Regulation 36 of 2024 (PP 36/2024), in force for Komodo since 30 October 2024. The table below carries the rates we checked in October 2026. The foreign ticket is the same every day of the week; the Indonesian ticket rises at weekends and on public holidays.

The entry ticket covers trekking, wildlife observation and snorkelling. The old separate snorkelling ticket no longer exists, so a figure for one on another page is out of date.

One limit belongs here. Officials said in April 2026 that a higher foreign fee is under study, and we found no new amount or date when we checked. The rates can change, so check them before you fly, and ask us for the figure on your quote.

Komodo National Park fees (paid separately)
International visitorsIDR 250,000 per person per day
Indonesian visitorsIDR 50,000 per person per day · IDR 75,000 weekends & holidays

Paid separately, online through SiOra, the park's own system; ranger and pier levies are extra and can change. Regulation: PP 36/2024 · Verified 10 October 2026.

A calculator for your party

Read the table by party size and by days. It shows what a party of 2, 4 or 10 pays for 1, 2 or 3 days, for foreign and for Indonesian guests, and you can multiply along your own row if your party is a different size.

Tickets are charged per person per day, so the count depends on the days spent inside the park. On a 3D2N sailing the quote states the number of ticket days, and we do not guess it here. Ask us for it when you ask for the boat price, and the two figures arrive together.

Family and group parties add up quickly. Ten foreign guests for three days is a sum worth seeing before you decide between boats, which is why the calculator sits on this page and not in a footnote.

Your park ticket appears on the quote as its own line, never folded into the fare. That keeps the boat price clean and lets you compare our quote with any other offer, line by line.

Tickets, quota and the name on your boarding pass

Tickets are bought online through SiOra, the park's booking system, and paid non-cash. Each visitor is registered by name and passport number, and the name must match the boat's passenger list, because the harbour issues the electronic boarding pass in that name. Send us your passport details when we ask for them.

Since 1 April 2026 a daily visitor quota applies to Padar, Komodo and Rinca, sold in three time sessions. Peak months, April to October, can fill, so a fixed date is worth a message early. Tell us your date early and we check it against the quota.

Ask for the e-ticket in your name. Some intermediaries have collected money without passing it on, which is why we name the company you pay and the invoice it comes from.

Ranger, pier and drone: paid separately

A park ranger is mandatory for walking on Komodo, Rinca and Padar. The ranger fee is charged per group, not per person, and a larger group needs more than one ranger.

A pier or harbour levy is charged at Labuan Bajo. A drone needs a park permit arranged before the trip and carries its own fee. Personal photographs and phone video carry no separate fee; commercial shoots need a permit.

All three are paid separately and can change, so none is quoted here. The quote shows each one as its own line when it applies. Do not fly a drone without the permit; the trip never includes one.

Who pays what: our fares and yours

A Kanha fare pays for the boat and its crew, the meals and the pickup. Park, ranger and pier are the public side of the trip, and they sit on top of it, in your name and for your party.

The same split holds on Kanha Citta, Kanha Loka and Kanha Natha, whatever cabin or group band you book. Tips for the crew and guide are also yours and are not in any fare, and travel insurance is yours too. If a line is unclear on your quote, ask us to name who pays it before you send the deposit.

FAQ

Is the Komodo park fee included in a Kanha fare?

No. The entry ticket is never part of a Kanha fare: IDR 250,000 per person per day for foreign visitors, IDR 50,000 on weekdays and IDR 75,000 at weekends for Indonesian citizens, under PP 36/2024. It appears on your quote as its own line, with the number of ticket days stated.

How much is the Komodo entrance fee for foreigners?

IDR 250,000 per person per day, the same on every day of the week, under PP 36/2024. The ticket covers trekking, wildlife observation and snorkelling. A higher foreign fee was reported as under study in April 2026, so check the figure again before you fly.

Can I buy the ticket at the park gate?

No. Tickets are sold online through SiOra, the park's booking system, and paid non-cash. Each visitor is registered by name and passport number, and the name must match the boat's passenger list. Send us your passport details when we ask, and ask for the e-ticket in your name.

Is snorkelling an extra fee?

No. The entry ticket covers snorkelling, and the old separate snorkelling ticket was removed when PP 36/2024 came into force. A separate figure on another site is out of date. Snorkelling gear and life jackets are on board all three Kanha boats.

Who pays the ranger fee?

You do, as its own line on your quote. A ranger is mandatory for walking on Komodo, Rinca and Padar, and the fee is charged per group rather than per person. It is paid separately from the fare and can change, so none is quoted here.

Can I fly a drone in Komodo National Park?

Only with a park permit arranged before the trip, plus its own fee. A drone is not part of any Kanha fare, and the shared trip does not include one. If you want aerial footage on a private charter, ask us in writing before you pay.
