Choose your Kanha for two

Kanha Natha is the boat for two people who want quiet. It has 4 cabins, 5 crew and room for 12, so even a full shared trip is a small gathering. Two Private Ocean View cabins sit at the top of the fare list, one with a balcony and one that opens straight onto the sun deck. There is no bar area, and that is part of its character.

Citta suits a couple who want the room with the strongest claim to romance in the fleet. The Gayatri room has an ocean view, a private balcony and an ensuite bathroom, and it is the only balcony cabin on Citta. It is also the most expensive cabin we sell, and Citta carries more guests, up to 22.

Loka offers the Master Ocean View with a balcony and an ensuite bathroom at a lower fare than Gayatri, on a boat that also sleeps up to 22.

The choice is simple. Pick Natha for a small boat, Citta for the top cabin, Loka for the balcony at the lower price.

Cabins for two, priced per person

Private cabins on the shared trip are priced per person with a minimum of 2 guests, so a couple pays two fares and has the cabin to themselves. The fares below are for 3 days and 2 nights and include the local guide and documentation.

No bathtub, jacuzzi or private dinner is listed for any of the three boats. A dinner with a special request, such as a proposal, is a service we quote on request, and nothing is added to your fare without a written quote.

Sunset at Kalong

Day 1 ends at Kalong, and for a couple it is the stop that matters most. A mangrove islet between Komodo and Rinca holds thousands of flying foxes by day. At dusk they leave in a long stream, over roughly 30 minutes, and the show is watched from the boat. The bats go about 15 minutes after the sun sets, so arrive early and keep the camera charged.

On Natha the second Private Ocean View opens onto the sun deck, which is the stage for the evening. You step out of your door into the last light with no corridor between. On Citta and Loka the balcony cabins give the same view from your own terrace.

Sunset falls between 17:49 and 18:27 depending on the month. We promise the place, not the sky: the light and the bats depend on the day, and no sighting is guaranteed.

For two people the whole boat is an expensive choice, and we say so. You get 5 crew, the dining area, the sun deck and every cabin, and you pick the pace of the stops with the captain. You give up the local guide and the documentation, which are not included on a private charter; both are available on request and quoted separately. Park tickets and ranger fees are never part of a fare.

The shared trip costs far less for two and includes the guide and documentation. The private charter costs more and gives you the boat. That is the whole trade.

Pre-wedding photographs and documentation

Documentation is part of the shared trip. On a private charter it is not: photo and video documentation is available on request and quoted separately. A couple who want pre-wedding photographs should book it, or ask us to quote a photographer for the three days.

Padar at sunrise, Pink Beach in the morning and Kalong at dusk are the stops where photographs happen. Drone work needs a park permit, which is paid separately and can change, so we give no figure. The permit and its conditions are confirmed in writing.

Nobody can promise light, wildlife or a manta ray on the day. The captain and the park ranger decide what is possible, and a photographer works with that. Dates and budget

The shared trip leaves every Friday and lasts 3 days and 2 nights. The pickup is around 09:00 on day 1 from your hotel or the airport, and drop-off is around 12:00 on day 3.

The boats leave from Labuan Bajo only. Fly in on the Thursday, a flight of about 1 hour 10 minutes to 1 hour 20 minutes from Bali. Schedules change, so check the current timetable of the airline. Fly home after 14:00 on the Sunday.
