Choose your Kanha for a top cabin

Kanha Citta holds the top cabin of the three boats. The Gayatri room has an ocean view, a private balcony and an ensuite bathroom with hot water, and an extra bed. It is the only balcony cabin on Citta and the highest fare in the fleet. Citta also has Shakti and Sedana, two ocean-view cabins on the upper deck, each with an ensuite bathroom and an extra bed.

Loka offers the same idea at a lower price. Its Master Ocean View has a balcony, an ensuite bathroom and an extra bed, and the boat has a restaurant and bar area, a sun deck and room for up to 22.

Kanha Natha is the quiet answer. It has 4 cabins and two Private Ocean View cabins at the same fare, one with a balcony and one that opens straight onto the sun deck. It has no bar area and it sleeps up to 12.

No boat has a top cabin for everyone. Gayatri suits the traveller who wants the best room, Master Ocean View the one who wants a balcony and a lower fare, and Natha's pair the one who wants a small boat.

Gayatri is the only balcony cabin on Citta. The Family Ocean View is the only cabin on the three boats for 4 guests with its own balcony and bathroom, with a minimum of 4 guests. Natha's second Private Ocean View has no balcony but opens straight onto the sun deck.

Shared trip or the whole boat at the top end

On the shared trip the top cabin costs more than the Sharing Cabin bed by IDR 4,200,000 per person on Citta, IDR 3,900,000 on Loka and IDR 2,700,000 on Natha. Private cabins need a minimum of 2 guests, so a couple pays two fares. The fare includes the local guide and documentation.

The alternative is the whole boat. Eight guests on Kanha Citta pay IDR 98,040,000 (≈ USD 6,015), which is IDR 12,260,000 (≈ USD 752) each. Twelve on Kanha Loka pay IDR 8,680,000 (≈ USD 533) each. A whole boat becomes cheaper per person than a Gayatri seat at about 14 guests on Citta, and than a Master Ocean View seat at about 13 on Loka. Before that, the shared trip costs less. After that, remember that the private charter does not include the guide and documentation, which are available on request and quoted separately.

The boats leave from Labuan Bajo only. Fly in on the Thursday, a flight of about 1 hour 10 minutes to 1 hour 20 minutes from Bali. Check the timetable. Sail on the Friday and fly home after 14:00 on the Sunday.

For the best room on the water: Gayatri on Kanha Citta. For a balcony at a lower fare and a bar area on deck: Master Ocean View on Kanha Loka. For a small boat and a door onto the sun deck: Natha's second Private Ocean View.
